How to Become a CPA in Arizona

Education to sit for CPA Exam: 120 semester hours (180 quarter)

Degree Requirement: Baccalaureate degree

Candidates Must Obtain: 36 credit hours in Accounting (30 hours must be at graduate level)

Residency and Age Requirement:

Age: 18

Citizen Requirement: No

Residency Requirement: No

Have a Social Security Number: Yes

License Requirement:

Pass AICPA Ethics Exam: Must pass AICPA Professional Ethics Exam and provide 5 separate letters of recommendation.

Tier Status: One tier state

CPE Requirements: 80 credit hours (within a 2-year time period)

International Program Participant: Yes

Work Experience: 1 year of accounting related industry experience

BEC fee: $208.40
